Use FastCopy – a free utility that enables to delete, copy and transfer your files on windows Xp/Vista (also works with windows 98/2000/Me, but some versions of the software gives an error) to different locations. The best part of this free software is that it comes with a portable version too. With this portable version of Fastcopy, you can access the software from a USB drive. The software also runs with command line arguments. Though there are other free softwares for this process, Fastcopy performs the best among them. Fastcopy 1.91 is the current version in the series.

Here is the command line for Fastcopy 1.84 – fastcopy /auto_close /error_stop /speed=full /cmd=Sync /log source_dir /to=dest_dir. The size of the software is just 147kb and is very easy to download and install. Download FastCopy.
