The Diet food bandwagon is on top these days. We can see almost every one climbing up with this style just wasting their money on something which claims to be the best food supplement. Is anybody giving this serious look? Has anybody thought of their pockets draining after they join this trend. Its time now, think on it.

I am sharing some little known facts of these diet foods currently occupying a space on your diet chart.

  • Real diet foods will never taste like the original or they substitute the original.
  • 75% of the diet foods claim they are of low calorie or low fat – But They are Not.
  • The Diet substitutes always come costlier than the regular food
  • You can never eat diet foods to endless quantities.
  • Most of the diet foods can only make your wallet lighter – Not you.

A product that is advertised like ‘completely sugar-free’ might be using artificial low-calorie sweeteners replacing the sugar content, but -the fat, what about that? Ask yourself — do u think it is really possible that a ‘fat-free sponge cake’ has no fat? Usually such cakes don’t contain butter or other fat contents, but they make up for with six to eight egg yolks, which may shoot your cholesterol levels to a new high!

Well, If we discuss about Brown bread — Did you ever realize that 90% of the time, we pay extra money for coloured white bread? Its just the label which reads brown bread. The bread is colored with the brown wheat powder.

There are various brands promoting their Diet colas in the market. We have to understand that they substitute the sugar with caffine content which we might fall addicted to. This in the long run is not good for the teeth and bones. We are not bothered to spend money on these colas while we get the healthiest drinks in the form of tender coconut water much less than the price of a diet cola.

To conclude, If something really makes a difference to your health, then it’s okay to spend little more on it. The tetra pack milk, for instance is less adulterated than the milk you get from the local milk supplier. It’s always good to weigh your options before spending your hard earned money on these foods that don’t make a dramatic change to your health.
