Basically,what it is? Is a 3-D messenging service,in which you’ve got your own 3D avatar,plus a 3D room and furniture and an avatar homepage. You get to choose the outfit and the way your avatar looks,plus you can choose your room and furniture from four options. You can then earn credits,so you can buy more clothes and furniture,which is all explained when you start using IMVU

I found it very weird to start with,because basically all you do is type your comment and press enter,and your comment appears in a little bubble above your head,which then floats away towards the ceiling.
