Midnight Cowboy

The movie Midnight Cowboy was released in the year 1969 and was directed by John Schlesinger. The movie dealt with the story of an young stud who wishes to become a real life cowboy and hiring out himself to the rich ladies of the country. Midnight Cowboy – the movie is X-rated but still managed to grab an Oscar (probably the only one). The role of the cowboy was donned by Jon Voight and did a pretty decent job. The cowboy getup was well suited for him. Each scene of the movie leaves its mark for its proper timing and classy dialogues. A sneak preview of the movie is here

Psycho

I had always been a fan of Alfred Hitchcock and the movies he made were simply stunning. Psycho was released in the year 1960 and directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The story revolves around an investigation case of a lady who was found murdered in a motel. The movie is great at its climax which is filled with the psychological horror. The movie was shot in black and white while all other movies were in color. This was because Paramount pictures found the story weak and never showed interest in producing it and Hitchcock himself arranged funds for the movie.
